I friend of mine who has been laid off for over a year called me today to tell me that she started a new job...at the Department of Welfare. You know what that means, she gets to work, but doesn't get paid! The state is hiring but cannot even pay the worker's they already have on payroll.
This is one of those things that make you go hmmmmm.
